Conveniently located and well connected by road, rail and public transport, there are plenty of options to suit your journey to Burton Automotive Hunter Valley Steamfest.

With large crowds and limited parking, where possible, we highly encourage event attendees to utilise regular train services and other public transport to get to and from the event.

Each of the car parks listed have accessible parking available.
SECTION ONE CLOSURE (RED)
Maitland Railway Station car parking areas will be closed from 12.01am Thursday 16 April until 9.00am Monday 20 April 2026.
There will be access on Station Street during this time.
Clearway zones will be implemented during this time.
A pedestrian movement plan will be implemented for the event bump in (16 April) and bump out period (20 April).
SECTION TWO CLOSURE (BLUE)
Station Street between Elgin Street and cul-de-sac will be closed from 12.01am Friday 17 April to 9.00am Monday 20 April 2026.
During this time, drop off zones, taxi and passenger set down areas will need to be used on Athel Dombrain Drive.
Clearway zones will be implemented during this time.
HARD CLOSURE (BLACK)
Church Street between Railway Street round about and Les Darcy Drive (NEH) Railway Street between Church Street and Elgin Street will be closed from 6.00am Saturday 18 April to 8.00pm Sunday 19 April.
CHANGED TRAFFIC (PURPLE)
Allan Walsh Drive will be converted to one way traffic from 6.00am Saturday 18 April until 8.00pm Sunday 19 April.
MAITLAND PARK CLOSURE (GREEN)
Loftus Street, Internal road through Maitland Park between main entrance off Walker Street up to the entry to the Maitland Pool, just past the old Bowling Club carpark From 6.00am to 6.00pm Sunday 19 April.

With Maitland Railway Station being the main hub of the event. Gettting here via train is the easiest way to get to Steamfest.

There are a range of transport options including bus, train and taxi.
With the amount of people attending the event, parking can become an issue for some.
Taxi services will be available throughout the event weekend. Taxi drop of zones will be located on Athel Dombrain Drive.
