SYDNEY TO MAITLAND

Each year thousands of people flock to the annual Hunter Valley Steamfest at Maitland. This year’s event features NSW Rail Museum locomotive 3526 and Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences locomotive 3265.

This is your chance to join in on the journey from Sydney to the big event behind recently restored steam locomotive 3526.

Travel in 1930s carriages as the Steamfest Flyer huffs and puffs through the suburbs, storms through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and winds its way along the scenic Hawkesbury River waterways to the Hunter Valley.

Board the train at either Central, Hornsby or Gosford stations. Alight at either Broadmeadow or Maitland.

The Steamfest Flyer is operated by NSW Rail Museum.
